Visit windycitywire.com, click on the tools dropdown and select conduit calculator.

You can use the calculator in one of two ways. Either by maximum number of conductors in a specified conduit, or minimum size of conduit for specified conductors. Let’s first explore option one.

The calculator is broken down into three steps. Step one is to choose your conduit type. There are several options of the most commonly used conduit, choose the one you'll be using on your project.

Step two; select your conduit size. This is the diameter of your chosen conduit type.

Step three; enter the number of cables you want to use inside your conduit by either manual entry, searching for a Windy City Wire part number. Or you can enter your previous order number to autofill the list of cables. For this example we will search for cable by part number. Once you find the cable you need, adjust the number of each cable, then click add cable. As you add cable to the list, a fill graph will show the remaining space left in your conduit. If you add too many cables for your conduit size, the graph will turn red indicating that the amount of chosen cable will not fit. When you are satisfied with the cable you have chosen, click save to PDF to download the results of the calculation.

Calculation option two works instead by calculating the size of conduit you would need to accommodate for the cables you'll need for your project. This is also broken down into three steps.

Step one; choose your conduit type.

Step two; choose the percentage fill you desire.

Step three, add the cable required for your project with the same search options as the first calculation method. As you add cable to your list, the graph will now show the required conduit diameter. When you are done, click save PDF, It's that easy.
